In this secluded sanctuary, at the heart of Patina Maldives, art transcends its traditional confines, morphing into a living, breathing entity. A clarion call for a profound shift in the interplay between art, humanity, and nature. This initiative, deeply rooted in the visionary practices of Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar, is a testament to the transformative power of art when intertwined with the principles of sustainability and deep ecological harmony.
The Fari Island Muse

Its untouched beauty and tranquil vistas serve as the silent muse for the series, guiding each stroke and hue towards a deeper communion with nature. By adopting the role of both creator and steward, the approach involves drawing inspiration and materials from the earth. The pigments are the essence of the island itself—coral whispers, ocean sighs, and the vibrant lifeblood of the surrounding flora and fauna, all coming together in a celebration of life’s energy.

Life Energy was born out of using predominately natural pigments and sustainable materials.

A true commitment to creating art in harmony with nature, and a first for any contemporary artist today, while being a much necessary beacon of change calling for assessment of the art industry’s footprint and implementation of alternative possibilities.

Duel Purpose
Life Energy extends beyond the canvas, it embodies long-term missions. Half of the proceeds from the series are dedicated to marine conservation efforts, directly supporting local initiatives to protect and restore the vital coral reefs of the Maldives. The remainder is allocated to an ambitious project—an online platform aimed at empowering the creative youth. This platform is envisioned as a space for education, inspiration, and guidance, promoting a lifestyle that values creativity in harmony with nature, personal well-being, and the potential for a connected, vibrant existence in our contemporary world.
